Meet Nancy

Succeeding in the fluid job marketplace of today relies on the wisdom, depth and talents of consultants like Nancy Brook, President of Authentic Work. Nancy is aware that having IQ alone will not adequately respond to the shifting work world. Resiliency, adaptability, partner relationships, mentoring and ability to manage transitions and change: examples of emotional intelligence are required to stay on top of the game.

A background in behavioral science, group dynamics, psychology and adult development added to human resource experience has influenced her career planning and management consulting. Drawing from the principles of emotional and social intelligence, Nancy coaches employees and managers to see the significance of these work enhancing competences as part of talent development and retention. She teaches in MBA programs, organizational development, organizational behavior and psychology departments. Nancy designs teaching products that inspire interest and further understanding of the importance of emotional intelligence in talent development, retention in organizations and career development.
